My EE Experience by Bobby John

When l first came in contact with EE, I did not know what it was. l thought it sounded like my friend’s name. I was rather reluctant at first but after some encouragement I joined in the training. The training was held at Bangsar Gospel Centre (BGC). I had joined in during the third lesson but was assured that l would be able to catch up. It was really tough at first and l had to rake my rusty brains in trying to remember the Gospel outline, and there were many moments when l just wanted to ‘throw in the towel’. But somehow by the grace of God l managed to carry on. Many of the trainers kept encouraging me even when it looked bleak at times – they never gave up on me. How lovely to be part of God’s family.

In each of the lessons we had to do our on the job training (OJT) where l would go out with my other two partners to share the Gospel. In my first OJT – we went to the home of a church member and my partner shared with him and he came to the Lord. I saw in an amazing way where God stepped in and this young man gave his life to Him. A few weeks later I went over to Sungai Buloh Hospital and the counselor at the hospital introduce me to two ladies – Lashami and Meena who are HIV + and came there for their medication. I shared the Gospel from the Hindu scriptures where it talks about coming from darkness into light. The Hindu scripture does not have solution to this problem. So l asked if they knew who is able to bring them from darkness to light, but they didn’t. So l showed them from EE who this person is and after taking them through the Gospel outline they received Jesus into their heart. Praise be to the Lord.

On the 22nd of April I went with some of my staff to the Sungai Buloh Prison. While there l was placed in a room full of foreigners – 20 Africans, 20 Chinese and 3 Indians. I shared the Gospel in English and my staff translated in BM. I shared the Gospel from EE and in the end l made the altar call and 20 of them came to the Lord. Praise the Lord for this. We have an awesome God indeed.

I want to thank God for this tremendous opportunity he has given me, especially to be able to join EE, l can only thank God for that. All praise to His wondrous Name.
